tuesday tunes // for december

Tuesday, December 3, 2013

and happy december to you, too.

i'm sure this goes without saying, but this really is the best time of year. here we are, three days into december and somehow the world already seems a tiny bit better. (is that just me?) i had the early-bird shift at work today which means that i opened up the café around 6:30 this morning. as hard as it was to drag myself out of bed while it was still dark outside, there was something kind of nostalgic about the whole thing. the only lights in the street came from strands of twinkle lights. it was cold and quiet and it was just me, brewing coffee and putting out croissants. did i mention this is my last week of work? sappy sappy sappy.

i could go on and on and on (and on!) about the things that make december great, but i'll spare you (for now). at the top of my list, without a doubt, is christmas music. j absolutely forbids me to play any sort of christmas-y music before thanksgiving. (which i can kind of understand) (but not really) so you better believe that the second december 1st rolled around, it was all jingle bells and chestnuts roasting on an open fire up in here.

so. without further adieu, here is my little musical ode to december - the best month of the year.

  2. I love this Christmas compilation. I added Cee Lo's holiday album to my Christmas rotation last year. And it is fantastic! x
